Welcome to Sunday School

At Saint Luke's Sunday School, we look to grow in Christ together, teachers and students alike. Our goal is to not only teach how our Orthodox faith is lived, but why we live it. As we begin the journey of growing our faith, we want each student to leave the classroom knowing that the church is their home.

 

Students will learn where to find answers to their most difficult questions by studying the Holy Scriptures and the lives of the saints. When participating in the services of the Church and living a life of daily prayer, they will discover how to acquire a spirit of peace. In the quiet stillness of their heart, they will find that our ultimate purpose in life is to become by grace what Christ is by nature. With every small effort they make toward Christ, He will fill their lives with abundant blessings. This is the life of truth we hope to impart to our students, for every joy and every sorrow they encounter. In other words, this is the life of an Orthodox Christian.
